What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Non Profit?
A non-profit organization is seeking to hire an Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate is proficient in QuickBooks Online and Excel (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables) . Additionally, need someone who has 2-5 years of relevant accounting space in a non-profit environment.
Duties
- Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, data entry, and payment processing
- Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Utilize accounting software such as Workday, Ceridian, Paychex, or Quicken for financial management tasks
- Maintain compliance with SOX regulations and internal controls
- Assist with benefits administration as needed
- Prepare reports related to debits and credits for management review
- Support the finance team with any additional tasks as required
Experience
- Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Strong skills in account reconciliation and 10 key typing
- Familiarity with accounting software applications (Workday, Ceridian, Paychex, Quicken) is a plus
- Knowledge of SOX compliance standards is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
