ABOUT WOODLAND AND JOB CORPS CENTER
The Woodland Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Electrical Wiring, Carpentry, Building Construction Technology, Culinary Arts, Advanced Training - Culinary Arts and Hotel & Lodging. We also assist students with job placement upon completion of their educational and career technical training.

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for supervision of various student leadership programs to include SGA and Classroom Leadership, student union snack bar, welfare fund and voting services. SGA Leadership Specialist is also responsible for input for student evening activity programming. Implementation of Community Service events for leadership staff.
Schedule:
Off Saturday and Sunday, Monday to Friday 12:00pm - 9:00pm.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalency required. Advanced degrees preferred. Post-High School leadership, or related, training courses preferred. Previous Job Corps or related program experience required. Must have strong facilitation skills to deliver training programs to students. Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
o Supervise student government association (SGA), including maintaining communication with administration, scheduling and supervising meetings, and guiding development of skills in student government.
o Supervise student union snack bar operators and overall operation of student union snack bar. o Ensure student union snack bar meets all state and local health regulations and safety requirements.
o Coordinate all SGA functions, including administration of the student welfare fund. Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
o Chaperone student government functions.
o Coordinate voting activities.
o Ensure student records and data are kept, and are accurate and up-to-date.
o Conduct group sessions in accordance with the schedule. As assigned, participate in and conduct orientation activities and student leadership training.
o Conduct training for all newly elected officers.
o Conduct advanced leadership training.
o Provide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customers.
o Support, promote, and enforce the Job Corps’ Zero Tolerance Policy.
o Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions.
o Other duties as assigned.
