What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sheriff's Office Teen Academy position at Adams County?
The Adams County Sheriff's Office Teen Academy gives teens a look at law enforcement. It helps them understand the role of the Sheriff's Office in the criminal justice system and the daily tasks that officers handle.
The Teen Academy will run June 24th-June 27th!
The Academy lasts for one week (40 hours) and teaches teens about how the Sheriff's Office operates. The lessons are like those in the usual P.O.S.T Academy, but they do not train participants to become law enforcement officers. Each session is led by officers and staff from different divisions, providing students with real information. The program is hands-on and interactive, allowing students to join in discussions and practical activities. At the end of the academy, students will graduate and be recognized for their participation.
