Job Purpose Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist, reporting to the HR Director, will assist in the daily and strategic functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing applicants and/or Team Members, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Essential Job Functions:
- Perform tasks required to develop, administer, and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; employee relations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development for employees at all levels of the organization.
- Participate in the development of and/or create departmental Standard Operation Procedures
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Monitor turnover and retention and conduct exit interviews
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least three years of human resources experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP/PHR/PHR-CA preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Available to work overtime including some weekends.
- Willing to work in any of our operating locations (Arbuckle and Woodland)
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
