We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Lead for their Southaven facility.
Job Summary:
The Inventory Lead will have responsibility for inventory cycle counting, reporting functions, and inventory reconciliation processes. Responsibilities also include record retention of all inventory metric reports, documents, electronic files and successful compliance with audit requirements.
This position requires the ability to perform these responsibilities in a safe, accurate and timely manner in accordance with Safety policy & procedures, Quality and the principles of 3Q6S, and time standards. Regular attendance is required for this position.
Position reports to the Inventory Supervisor, working as part of the Southaven Customer Service Center management team to drive continuous improvement through the use of metrics to achieve logistics excellence in service, quality and cost.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute cycle count in certified and/ or non-certified inventory segments
- Perform reconciliation and research of the variances
- Post inventory results daily
- Participate in bi-annual site physical inventory activities for non-certified categories
- Prepare management reports and metrics for Southaven management and St. Louis Finance
- Support warehouse operations by researching inventory discrepancies
- Monitor inventory status and identify consolidation opportunities
- Manage replenishment process to support zone picking
- Analyze inventory movement and turns to identify and report item velocity
- Perform a variety of miscellaneous business operations analysis and reporting as needed
- Other duties as required by the Inventory Control Department.
- Adhere to and enforce safe work practices and all safety policies and rules
- Have a thorough understanding of the site’s warehouse processes and systems to be able to proactively manage any inventory discrepancy in a timely manner and provide an accurate resolution and tracking of such discrepancies.
Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Degree preferred (Business, Accounting or related field) or in lieu of degree, 3 (three) years of direct inventory and inventory process management (automated and manual inventory systems).
- 5 (five) years over-all experience in warehousing and logistics.
- Power Equipment certification and the ability to maintain license through safe operation of equipment.
Skills:
- Computer literacy to include Warehouse Management Systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer)
- Previous experience with WMS in Microsoft Dynamics and ORACLE environments a plus.
- Ability to follow and adhere to policies and procedure including Federal State and local laws (Ethics, Sarbanes-Oxley, General Accounting, etc.)
- Communication skills-ability to communicate with all levels within the organization to include customers, corporate office contacts, employees and managers.
