Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain UV sheetfed printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials.
- Set up press runs, ensuring proper color registration, alignment, and quality throughout the production process.
- Conduct routine inspections of print quality and make necessary adjustments to meet production standards.
- Performs minor repairs and preventative maintenance as needed
- Logs and posts production information into the computer and/or required production logs
- Directly supports training and cross training of other coworkers
- Collaborate with the production team to fulfill project specifications and deadlines efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise during the printing process.
- Perform other duties/tasks as assigned
Above industry standard pay commensurate with experience and qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years as lead operator of 5 color press with coater, running high quality work
Experience running UV 6 color press with coater preferred
Proven experience operating sheetfed printing presses, with a strong understanding of printing processes.
Attention to detail and ability to produce consistently high-quality work
Knowledge of color theory, CIELAB color space, printing techniques, and quality control measures
Ability to use rulers, gauges, calipers, densitometers, spectrophotometers and other testing equipment
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to meeting customer expectations
Ability to work independently and make good decisions without constant supervision
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Ability to identify maintenance needs and ensure that all required preventive maintenance is performed
Ability to lift products up to 50 lbs. and some over that amount
