Adams Publishing Group of Southern Wisconsin is seeking a full-time general assignment news reporter in our Lake Mills, Wisconsin, office. The ideal candidate has a journalism degree and newspaper experience, either at a student publication or full-time. We’re looking for a collaborative self-starter with proven skill at cleanly and quickly turning stories, who can contribute to our local and broader southern Wisconsin efforts. Candidates must understand the importance of digital as the future of our industry, how to effectively use social media, and how modern subscribers consume news. We’re seeking someone skilled at building relationships with sources, peers and mentors, who knows how to grab readers with well-crafted words, and who is interested in digging beyond the surface in their reporting. Most important is a can-do attitude and a desire to expand your skills. We’re a developmental-minded team with mentors in place who are ready to help you grow.
This full-time, in person position that requires some night and weekend work. It offers a competitive salary and benefits package including health, dental, paid vacation and 401(k).
