SUMMARY
Under general direction, is responsible for the coordination of all activities related to scheduling and coordinating all On-Call Direct Support Professionals. The objection for the On-Call DSP Scheduler is to provide staffing to cover planned and unplanned shift vacancies arising in the agency’s programs. This is an in-person role based out of our main office in downtown Manhattan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the On-Call DSP Scheduler will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Management of On-Call DSPs throughout the agency to manage shift vacancies, planned and unplanned absences/leaves and effectively manage overtime.
- Coordinate with program management to fill open needs with On-Call DSPs as requested
- Works closely with HR and Workforce Development to ensure On-Call DSPs are properly onboarded/trained and remain compliant with all required trainings, enrolling staff in required training in such a manner as to avoid expiration of required agency and OPWDD training and manage any situations of non-compliance.
- Conduct meetings, briefings and training sessions for On-Call DSPs as needed.
- Management of contracted temp staff throughout the agency to manage shift vacancies, planned and unplanned absences/leaves and effectively manage overtime
- Oversight and supervision of the agency’s contracted temp staff, including ensuring all trainings, certification and required checks are completed and satisfactory.
- Performs other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Excellent interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with all employees,
- Excellent organization skills
- Proficiency in the use of a computer and knowledge of appropriate software and email
- Due to sensitive nature of position, must be able to maintain the strictest confidentiality
- Ability to work flexible hours, take calls after hours
- Demonstrates sound judgment and the capacity to respond to unusual situations
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong knowledge of residential programs
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma
- At least four years of comparable experience with the developmentally disabled population
- Supervisory experience preferred but not required
COMPENSATION: $55,000 - $60,000 Annually Industry-Leading Benefits!
