We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager in Chicago.
This is an in-office position that requires working from our client's office in Chicago 5 days a week.

Our client offers translation, interpreting, localization, subtitling, transcription and voice over solutions to clients in 10 key sectors. Their portfolio includes Enterprises such as Netflix, Honda, LinkedIn, Financial Times, ICON, BNP Paribas, HSBC, Hilton, Paramount and Microsoft.
About the Role
In this role, you will work directly with the CEO and focus on generating revenue through the acquisition of new clients. You'll also be given a book of business from day one to manage and grow through up-selling and cross-selling activities.
Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and develop new business opportunities in the localization and translation industry.
- Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing clients, ensuring high satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Follow up on inbound leads generated by the marketing team and convert them into sales opportunities.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to generate new leads and strengthen brand visibility.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO on strategic initiatives, client negotiations, and high-value opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.
- Work cross-functionally with the project management, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Based in Chicago and willing to work from the office 5 days a week (non-negotiable)
- 2 years of experience in business development
- Proven track record of successfully acquiring (360 sales cycle) and managing new clients.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and leadership.
- Willingness to travel for industry events and client meetings.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales tracking software.
- A results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
