Data Architect
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
We are currently seeking a Data Architect to join our team.
Responsibilities :
Design and implement data solutions aligned with best practices and organizational strategy.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable data architectures.
Provide architectural guidance for technology selections and solution integration.
Establish and maintain industry standards, guidelines, and best practices within the data architecture domain.
Participate in architectural reviews and support technology governance efforts.
Assist teams in resolving critical production issues and optimize existing architecture for improved performance.
Serve as a subject matter expert for data-related challenges and implement solutions to enhance system availability and reliability.
Contribute to IT roadmap development, aligning technology solutions with business strategy.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance business capabilities.
Manage the lifecycle of data solutions, including updates, optimizations, and retirements.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and developers.
Collaborate with vendors to address technical support needs and advocate for improvements.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
8 years of experience in Data Architecture.
Expertise in data modeling, database structure principles, and architecture design.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as ERWin, Enterprise Architect, or Visio.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing, ETL / ELT processes, and real-time data processing.
Familiarity with data governance principles and data quality management.
Experience with cloud platforms and related data services (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, etc.).
Understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Relevant industry certifications (CDMP, CBIP, etc.).
Experience in designing and implementing large-scale data and analytics solutions.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
Experience mentoring junior architects and developers.
Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.
Strong understanding of event-based and message-driven architectures.
