Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join ADARx Pharmaceuticals as a Senior Director, Human Resources. The Senior Director, Human Resources is a strategic role responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing human resource policies that align with organizational goals and improve the employee work environment. This role requires a deep understanding of both technical and business aspects to identify and address hidden issues that may impede the company’s success. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential to effectively interact with employees at all levels and influence organizational outcomes. This position reports to CEO of ADARx.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives, ensuring that human capital initiatives support the company's mission and goals.
- Drive change management initiatives to support the company's growth and adaptation in a dynamic industry.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management on employee relations matters, promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Set the vision, strategy and tone for HR function key organizational platforms including structure, leadership, talent and culture.
- Prepare and manage the HR department budget, ensuring all expenditures align with organizational goals.
Recruitment
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the biotechnology sector.
- Work closely with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, communicate with potential candidates, schedule initial/onsite interviews, negotiations, and draft offer letters.
Training & Development
- Oversee onboarding, training, and professional development programs to foster employee growth and retention.
- Develop competency models as the framework for defined career paths.
Issue Resolution
- Providing counsel on employee relations strategy, including investigation of issues, government programs and compliance with legal requirements, disciplinary actions, and coaching support.
Performance Analysis
- Implement performance appraisal systems that align with company objectives, providing guidance on performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Conduct research, create reports on hiring trends and other key metrics from the human resource information system (HRIS), and suggest changes for improvement.
- Utilize HR metrics to inform decision-making, providing regular reports on key performance indicators such as turnover rates and employee engagement levels.
- Design, implement, and facilitate mid-year and annual performance evaluations.
Compensation & Rewards
- Management compensation and benefits packages to attract and retain talent.
- Management of timecards and bi-weekly payroll.
- Responsibility for the ongoing management of employee healthcare benefits and issues.
Policy Development
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate HR-related risks.
- Ensure adherence to all applicable labor laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.
HRIS & Internal Intranet
- Management and program buildouts of HRIS system.
- Management of information on internal intranet.
Document Management
- Responsible for management of HR documents.

Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant related field.
- SPHR Certification
- A comprehensive HR generalist background with a minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible HR management experience.
- Minimum 8 years of HR department leadership.
- Must have in-depth working knowledge of CA employment law, recruitment, selection and retention initiatives, EEO, EEOC, benefits administration, labor relations, affirmative action.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite Products, Adobe Pro
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a relevant field.
- Strong facilitation and mediation skills.
- Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.

This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including but not limited to cash bonuses.
