Position Overview
The FP&A Consultant will report to the Vice President, FP&A and will work closely with the CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, Controls) Team to analyze and communicate financial performance. This position is responsible for identifying and analyzing key drivers of business performance inclusive of OPEX as well as supporting the Controllership team with inventory. This position will work collaboratively with CMC Team leaders to inform and strengthen the financial process and controls. This will involve the development and tracking of key performance metrics and trends, in addition to enhancing and managing the budgeting/forecasting process partnering with the CMC Team.
This is a 6-month contract position with the potential to convert to a permanent role based on business needs and performance.
What You'll Do
- Partner with the CMC Team, providing financial analysis and decision support.
- Partner with CMC leadership to develop and track key financial metrics, including risk and opportunities, to monitor business performance and enhance forecasting.
- Lead and support financial processes (forecast/budget/actuals) with the CMC Team.
- Establish, lead and support structure around financial deliverables, reviews and updates (e.g. planning calendar, etc.)
- Maintain expense tracker to support month end accrual process for the CMC Team.
- Provide accounting support and review accruals to ensure accuracy.
- Establish monthly process to discuss project/PO status to support a more seamless transition into forecast exercises.
- Ensure compliance with financial practices and policies.
- Partner with Controllership team and external auditors in completion of reviews, external reporting and audits.
- Collaborate on special projects.
Requirements
Who You Are
- BS/BA in finance or accounting, CPA or MBA strongly preferred
- 5-7 years of business partnering FP&A experience, with at least 3 years in the biopharmaceutical industry
- CMC FP&A experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build relationships across the organization
- Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team player and entrepreneurial mindset, with an ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business environment
- Advanced level of Excel and PowerPoint required
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus
