Summary of Role:
The Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing, issuing, and collecting of the Company’s Receivables and Payables. In addition, the position is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers. This role will have exceptional time management skills and must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
This role is required to be located near our Denver, CO office, with hybrid work from home flexibility.
Team members must live and work in the United States* (*territories excluded), and have access to reliable, high-speed internet.
Compensation:
Hourly rate: $26.44 - $31.25, depending on experience
Annual equivalent: Approximately $55,000 - $65,000

Responsibilities:
- General accounts receivable duties, including the preparation of timely and accurate invoices, bank deposits and recording in the general ledger
- Collect checks from the Denver, CO office regularly
- General accounts payable duties, including expense reporting, ensuring proper coding, documentation, approvals, and compliance with policies
- Processes and enters all A/R & A/P invoices and expense reports into financial systems, including ensuring correct GL Account coding
- Manage communication, answer questions, and generally facilitate A/R related communication with clients
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail
- Prepare analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
- Monthly reconciliation of cash receipts
- Assists with reconciling vendor statements
- Act as the initial contact for account resolution and disputes. This position requires the ability to explain and clarify data, rationale, and intent of policy
- Process other vendor invoices and maintain workflow approvals
- Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement
- Assist Controller with month-end closing procedures
- Work with the finance team and assist personnel as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field
- At least two years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adhere to deadlines
- Strong Excel skills
- Data entry skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in accounting software; Quickbooks experience a plus
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
