Summary of Role

The Director of Analytics is a critical player on the Media & Analytics team, and will be the driving force behind the agency's data-driven strategies, supporting our diverse client portfolio. This role is responsible for leading a team of data analysts and data scientists, ensuring seamless integration of data analytics, business intelligence, and data warehousing solutions. The Director will guide the management and development of data initiatives, aligning them with both the agency’s goals, and contributing to the greater vision and company-wide initiatives. They will also be responsible for organizing and assembling the necessary resources—technology, processes, and financial investments—to meet the current and future analytics needs of both the agency and its clients. Expertise in tools such as Tableau and a sharp ability to identify trends and insights are essential for success in this role. Important: Deep experience with GA4 is a requirement!


Compensation

Compensation for this role is a combination of salary and bonuses, targeting a total annual compensation range of $130,000 - $160,000. The salary range is $115,000 - $125,000 annually, depending on experience.


Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Lead a team of data analysts and data scientists, including but not limited to training, oversight and review of all work product coming from the Analytics team
  • Develop and implement the agency’s overall analytics strategy to support marketing and advertising objectives.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of campaigns and client initiatives.
  • Participate and support in the business development process for new agency clients and the selling of Analytics services to agency prospects.


Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data from various sources, including digital marketing platforms, social media, and CRM systems.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance campaign performance and client ROI.
  • Develop and present comprehensive reports and dashboards to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain the data and reporting workflow for clients within our ETL tool and data visualization platforms


Client and Campaign Management:

  • Collaborate with account managers and clients to understand business objectives and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that analytics deliverables align with client goals and expectations.


Innovation and Improvement:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in analytics and marketing.
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance analytics capabilities.
  • Continuously improve data processes and methodologies to drive efficiency and accuracy.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:


  • Work closely with marketing, operations, engineering, product, and strategy teams to integrate analytics into overall company strategies.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to align on objectives, share insights, and drive collaborative decision-making.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Management or related field
  • 10 years experience in marketing, advertising, analytics or other relevant business experience
  • Strong proficiency in GA4 (Google Analytics 4)
  • Expertise in additional data analysis tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and critical thinking skills, including the ability to analyze complex data sets that include interrelationships and dependencies to identify common themes and opportunities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience with statistical tests and predictive analytics
  • Spreadsheet pro: You are the person others in the office ask for help
  • Intrinsic curiosity to find out "why" things are the way they appear to be


Nice to have

  • Expertise with ETL tools (e.g. Funnel.io, Improvado)
  • Expertise with visualization tools (e.g. Looker Data Studio, Domo)
  • Experience with digital marketing channels, including SEO, PPC, social media, and email marketing.
  • Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL, Python, R, or similar tools.


Location Information

This role is required to be located near our Denver, CO office, with hybrid work from home flexibility.


Team members must live and work in the United States* (*territories excluded), and have access to reliable, high-speed internet.
