What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Budgeting Analyst position at Addiction Services and Supports, Office of?
The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Incumbent will be responsible for a variety of duties within the Bureau of Budget Management/Grants Management Unit. These duties will include but not be limited to: • Assist in the review, coordination, analysis, and monitoring of existing and upcoming grant opportunities, including the Federal Substance Use, Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Services t (SUPTRS) Block Grant and other discretionary grants; provide overall back-up support for grant activities; monitor and track grant spending and procurement activities, in coordination with the Bureau of Procurements and Contract Management.• Ensure one-time and recurring grant applications and required benchmarks, extension requests, and required reports are completed on time.• Monitor proposed/enacted regulatory actions that may affect grant funding.• Work closely with Federal awarding agencies (e.g., the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)), the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene (RFMH), and OASAS fiscal and program staff to schedule meetings, coordinate contract activities, follow up on outstanding items, and track grant status.• Respond to State and Federal audit and information as well as requests from the OASAS Executive Team, the NYS Division of the Budget, and Federal agencies on grant activities and status.• Contribute to grants policy recommendations and assist in drafting grant overviews, guidelines and policies.• Develop and maintain procedures for recurring grant activities.• Other assignments and duties as needed.
