Assistant Principal of Culture and ClimateMiddlebury Union Middle SchoolMiddlebury, VermontLocated in the beautiful Lake Champlain Valley of Vermont, Middlebury Union Middle School in Middlebury seeks a dynamic and passionate assistant principal for grades 6-8. Middlebury Union Middle School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) school offering the Middle Years Program. This position requires a leader to support the success of all learners through a thorough understanding of a multi-tiered system of services, restorative practices and Vermont Education Quality standards. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of Vermont disability law (504 and Special Education) and International Baccalaureate, or the willingness to learn about disability law, international mindedness, and transdisciplinary learning.
Applicants must have knowledge of data analysis for the purpose of making sound educational decisions that support exceptional learning opportunities for all students. In addition, the candidate will have experience collaborating effectively within a leadership team as well as County agencies to support students and families. This candidate will be an excellent communicator and a lifelong learner. Successful candidates will have a minimum of three years teaching/administrative experience with excellent organizational, collaborative and oral/written communication skills.
