The Addison Central School District (ACSD) is seeking a Vermont Certified Math Teacher for an opening at Middlebury Union High School (MUHS) beginning in the 2025-2026 school year. We are seeking a dedicated educator with a strong background in all levels of high school math and current instructional best practices. The ideal candidate will have a student-centered approach to teaching, with an emphasis on flexibility and creativity in instruction and assessment. Strong rapport with students and effective communication with both students and parents are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
-Teach a range of math courses across all levels
-Implement current instructional research and best practices
-Foster an inclusive, student-centered classroom environment
-Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
-Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
-Support students in achieving success in rigorous math programs
Preferred Qualifications:
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Experience with or interest in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum framework
-Interest in becoming involved in co-curricular activities a plus
-Qualified candidates must hold or be eligible for a current Vermont teaching license with the necessary endorsement.
