Role : Accounting Specialist
Location : Houston, TX
Pay Rate : $25-$27 / hour

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist on a contract-to-hire basis.
Job Responsibilities :
- Preparation and coding of accounts payable invoices
- Preparation and coding of travel and entertainment expense (AMEX) statements / activity
- Prepare amortization tables for prepaid / capitalized costs and update corresponding Balance Sheet Recaps
- Maintain receivables, work in process and deposit detail for portfolio companies
- Maintain other Balance Sheet Recaps
- Prepare routine reconciliation of check run data to vendor data
- Update interest schedules for ACH payments on a monthly basis
- Track and maintain repository for all investment deal-related documents
- Maintain real-time updates to investments amendments listing
- Assist in the annual preparation and distribution of Form 1099s
- Assist with / provide support for SBA reporting (468, 1031, etc.)
- Assist with external and internal audit requests
- Special projects and ad hoc reporting as directed by supervisors
