Accounting Specialist
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for daily financial transactions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking, general ledger and other accounting transactions including inventory and fixed assets.
- Provide direct accounting and administrative support to finance team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Perform full cycle accounts receivable including invoicing, collections, inventory/fixed asset adjustments
- Receive and review vendor invoices.
- Accurately code and enter vendor invoices into accounting system.
- Analyze/reconcile A/P accounts periodically to ensure accuracy.
- Track and Record purchase orders.
- Reconcile and record credit card statements.
- Review, code and process expense reports.
- Generate financial reports as requested by finance team.
- Perform general data entry as needed in accounting system.
- Assist with month end close processes to ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting.
- Support monthly reconciliation and analysis of the General ledger balances and provide analysis for variances in accounts.
- Assist with bank account management including recording of daily transactions.
- Analyze and record payroll transactions.
- Other accounting and administrative duties as assigned to provide support to the daily operation and day to day needs of the finance department.
Skills and Experiences
- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
- Knowledge and ability to use various software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at proficient levels
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
- Work with Quality Compliance department regarding compliance issues.
- Continuously fully comply with all regulatory related requirements.
- Committed to a high standard of safety and willing to comply with all safety laws and all of the company’s safety policies and rules. Must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in Accounting with a Bachelors degree in Accounting or associated field, or equivalent work experience
- Must possess strong communication and analytical skills.
- Required Fluent English and Mandarin
- Ability to work with all levels within the organization.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Experience with Quickbooks required
Physical Demands
- Could involve some lifting, up to 20 lbs.
- May require travel
- Ability to perform physical requirements of job which include but are not limited to the following: standing, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, etc for prolonged periods of time
