Our client is a Fortune 500 company in the Financial Services industry seeking an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) professional. This individual will be responsible for reviewing customer accounts to determine risk ratings.
Responsibilities
- Enhanced due diligence reviews on high-risk individuals and entities.
- Analysis of financial data and reports to identify potential risks or irregularities.
- Information gathering from internal and external sources.
- Collaboration with internal teams to obtain necessary documentation.
- Verification of information related to individuals, businesses, and regulatory compliance.
- Additional research to support risk assessments.
- Findings escalation to appropriate teams or leadership.
- Maintenance of relationships with key stakeholders for issue resolution.
- Preparation and documentation of findings in clear and concise reports.
- Training completion and maintenance of compliance with industry regulations.
- Stay informed on regulatory requirements and emerging trends in financial crimes.
- Utilization of analytical skills to investigate suspicious activities and detect patterns of fraudulent behavior.
- Support for leadership and internal teams with documentation requests.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in financial crime compliance, risk management, or related areas.
- Experience conducting investigations related to financial crimes, fraud, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong understanding of banking regulations, compliance frameworks, and due diligence processes.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Knowledge of financial crime laws and regulations in the U.S. and internationally.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese required.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., CAMS) preferred.
