Job Title : Medicare Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location : Franklin, TN
Hours : Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM or 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM
Pay : $23 - $26 / hr.
Addison Group is hiring for a client in the Behavioral Health sector. This position involves working with Residential Treatment Facilities and Acute Care Facilities.
Job Summary :
The Medicare Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for handling all aspects of Medicare accounts receivable, including claim edits, follow-up, verification, and maintenance of logs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have experience with Medicare billing and claim management.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage Medicare AR : Oversee and process all Medicare accounts across multiple ledgers, including Hospital, Medi-Medi, Medi-Self, and Medi-Qualified, ensuring adherence to all guidelines.
- Payment Verification : Ensure accurate posting of Medicare payments, including any necessary DRG / Sequestration adjustments, and manage account ledger movements.
- Verification of Benefits : Run benefit verifications for all Medicare admissions and discharges, confirming lifetime, coinsurance, and reserve days.
- Claims Editing : Edit and prepare all Medicare claims for submission to the clearinghouse, ensuring they comply with Medicare requirements, including coinsurance and reserve days.
- Follow-Up on Claims : Conduct follow-up on Medicare and Medicaid claims to ensure proper adjudication and resolution.
- DDE Management : Maintain an active DDE login for assigned sites and manage enrollment with each site’s Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC).
- Track Medi-Medi Claims : Ensure all Medi-Medi claims are processed with a valid adjudication reason code for secondary claims.
- Medicare Bad Debt Log : Review and track accounts to ensure proper qualification for the Medicare Bad Debt Log and maintain accurate documentation.
