Job Responsibilities
- 401(K) Plan Administration
- Serve as a liaison between the service provider and brand leaders to ensure smooth plan transition.
- Assist brand payroll managers in setting up API file feeds and identify any delays or issues, escalating to the Plan Administrator as needed.
- Participate in implementation meetings, documenting key takeaways and tasks, and support the Plan Administrator in completing assigned tasks.
- Aid in gathering necessary information to complete the 2024 5500 forms and collaborate with auditors to assist with the process.
- Gain knowledge of the Department of Labor’s Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program (VFCP) and its application to lost wages calculations.
- Respond to day-to-day 401(K) questions and inquiries, learning the basics of 401(K) administration.
- Stay current on regulatory changes affecting 401(K) plans.
- Provide auditing support as directed by the Plan Administrator.
- Benefits Integration and Administration
- Understand and assist with welfare plan administration, open enrollment, and communications regarding benefits plan changes.
- Collaborate with brands and brokers on the implementation of benefit changes.
- Develop and deliver clear communication materials for brands about benefits.
- Address questions and conduct research to stay informed on current benefit trends (e.g., HSA, FSA).
- Assist with billing and auditing tasks under the direction of the VP of HR.
- Brand HR Support
- Establish relationships with brand HR leaders to foster trust and create a center of excellence within the team.
- Provide attentive, solution-driven support for HR needs and demonstrate strong listening skills.
- Compliance with HR and Regulatory Standards
- Research federal and state regulations to ensure compliance with HR and benefits requirements.
- Experience: 1 year in HR or benefits administration
- Skills: Proficient in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, V-Lookup), strong attention to detail
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a business-related field)
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Soft Skills: Problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills, ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with employee benefit laws and regulations (or the ability to research when needed)
