Job Description: The Clinic Coordinator is responsible for front-desk operations, patient scheduling, and administrative support in an oncology clinic setting. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in/out patients, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately
- Schedule appointments and follow-up visits across multiple disciplines
- Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Handle incoming phone inquiries and provide information to patients and providers
- Assist with coordinating patient services and ensuring a seamless experience
- Support the clinic team by triaging calls and directing them appropriately
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses
- Navigate and utilize Epic and other healthcare software systems effectively
- Adhere to compliance and regulatory requirements, including standard immunization protocols
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service skills with a patient-centered approach
- Prior experience in a healthcare front desk or administrative role
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-volume clinic setting
- Strong communication skills and the ability to de-escalate patient concerns professionally
- Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a team-based environment
Additional Details:
- Schedule: Multiple shifts available: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- Dress Code: Business casual (no jeans)
- Additional Requirements: Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and complete occupational health screening
