Our client in Osseo, MN, has an immediate opening for a collections specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity to work with a well-established, growing organization that values experience in accounts receivable, B2B collections, dispute resolution, and deductions management. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to research and resolve outstanding balances, and a customer-centric approach to collections.
Responsibilities
- Manage B2B collection efforts
- Manage collection efforts on past-due accounts, proactively contacting customers to resolve outstanding balances.
- Review and analyze customer accounts, deductions, credits, and disputes to ensure timely payment resolution.
- Work with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and unapplied cash.
- Process adjustments, credit memos, and payment applications within a large ERP system.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all collection efforts in the M3 system and other relevant platforms.
- Follow up on denied claims, disputes, and chargebacks, escalating unresolved issues as needed.
- Communicate with customers via phone and email to negotiate payment plans, resolve disputes, and build strong business relationships.
- Assist with month-end close processes related to accounts receivable and collections.
