Job Title : Compensation Specialist
Location : Philadelphia, PA
Job Type : Contract, Full-Time, ~3 months
Pay Rate : $35-40 / hr
Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Compensation Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and administering compensation programs, ensuring they align with our mission, values, and goals. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in compensation, a strong understanding of non-profit compensation structures, and the ability to provide data-driven insights. You will work closely with HR, leadership, and other departments to support competitive and equitable compensation strategies for our staff.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer compensation programs, including salary structures, pay grades, and job evaluations.
- Conduct regular compensation benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices within the non-profit sector.
- Provide compensation-related guidance and recommendations to HR and management to support recruitment, retention, and employee satisfaction.
- Review job descriptions to ensure appropriate classification and compensation levels, including salary ranges and benefits.
- Lead annual compensation review process, including salary adjustments, merit increases, and incentive programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
- Analyze compensation data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new compensation policies and programs to align with organizational goals and the evolving non-profit landscape.
- Provide education and support to employees and management on compensation-related topics, ensuring transparency and understanding.
- Prepare and deliver reports and presentations to leadership on compensation trends, internal equity, and external market positioning.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams on budget planning and compensation forecasting.
