Job Title: Field Technology Manager
Location: Kansas City, MO
Salary: $120000 - $130000 / year (Company vehicle provided)
The Field Technology Lead will drive the adoption, implementation, and management of advanced field technology systems to enhance precision, efficiency, and innovation across all divisions at the company. This role will oversee technologies such as GPS, GNSS, telematics, and 3D machine control, ensuring seamless deployment and integration in field operations. Additionally, the role involves managing Intelligent Compaction (IC) and Infrared Scanning (IR) systems for optimized data accuracy and quality control.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Leadership- Implement and manage GPS/GNSS systems for accurate grading and site layout.
- Oversee Automated Machine Guidance (AMG) and 3D machine control for construction efficiency.
- Optimize fleet usage via telematics and introduce stringless paving/milling technologies.
- Lead deployment of robotic total stations and stringless concrete technology.
- Maintain and update IC/IR systems, including hardware installation, calibration, and firmware upgrades.
- Coordinate digital model production for grading and construction accuracy.
- Ensure project models are updated to reflect changes in plans and specifications.
- Oversee total station usage and IC/IR systems for quality pavement construction.
- Bridge tech teams and field personnel, providing training and support.
- Conduct onboarding for new team members and continuous learning opportunities.
- Facilitate training on IC/IR system operation and troubleshooting.
- Manage field technology deployment, updates, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure technology aligns with safety and operational standards.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and technology ROI using Zonar systems.
- Develop and enforce company standards for field technology.
- Provide feedback and recommend improvements to executive teams.
