Project Manager – Civil/Site Land Development
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Waldorf, MD office. This role is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of civil/site land development design projects, ensuring Client satisfaction, project profitability, and successful execution. The Project Manager will also supervise and mentor design staff, including team engineers and designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Client relationships and project portfolios effectively.
- Develop and prepare proposals for potential Clients.
- Provide exceptional and responsive Client service.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and invoicing.
- Leverage technical expertise to assist Clients in achieving their development objectives.
- Represent Clients at key project milestones, including public presentations and hearings.
- Lead business development and marketing efforts for the firm.
- Mentor and develop staff while fostering a strong team environment.
- Supervise staff workload, ensure quality control in civil/site designs, and manage resource planning.
- Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and recognize achievements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support company goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Maryland (required).
- Minimum 10-12 years of progressive experience in civil engineering land development design (Southern Maryland experience preferred).
- At least 5 years of experience managing civil/site design for land development projects.
- 5 years of experience supervising design staff.
- Strong organizational and delegation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain Client relationships while delivering high-quality service.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
