Job Description
The Patient Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing patient accounts, conducting soft collections, and assisting with payment processing. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a structured, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct soft collections on patient accounts with outstanding balances.
- Place outbound calls to patients to discuss balances and arrange payments.
- Process payments and establish payment plans.
- Manage up to 70 accounts per day.
- Work in a focused, detail-oriented environment.
- 1 years of experience in medical billing, front-end or back-end.
- Experience communicating with patients regarding balances and payment arrangements.
- Familiarity with insurance processes and ability to read Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
- Strong data entry skills, including ten-key proficiency.
- Experience with specialty medical groups (Cardiology, Orthopedics, Surgical, Oncology, etc.) is a plus.
- No background check or drug screening required.
- COVID-19 vaccination not required.
- Onsite training with multiple trainers and job shadowing opportunities.
- Software used: NextGen/Health Infusion.
- Business casual/casual dress code.
- Start date: ASAP.
