Pay: $85,000 – $110,000/year.
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Work Environment: Hybrid (Tuesdays and Wednesdays in-office)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our client’s HR team. This individual will be responsible for managing full-cycle payroll, benefits administration, and ongoing process improvements. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, forward-thinking, and passionate about delivering excellent employee support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for 100 employees (hourly and salaried)
- Ensure accurate wage calculations, tax deductions, PTO accruals, and bonus payments
- Reconcile payroll with benefit statements and handle adjustments as needed
- Act as a primary contact for employee benefits questions and provide high-touch support
- Collaborate with HRIS and internal teams to ensure data accuracy across systems
- Maintain payroll documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
- Monitor changes in payroll legislation and company policies
- Identify and implement process improvements in payroll and benefits operations
- Support year-end payroll processes including W-2 distribution and reporting
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing payroll and administering employee benefits
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards
- Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems (system knowledge can be discussed during interview)
- High attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
