Our client is seeking a skilled payroll professional with expertise in union/non-union payroll, multi-state tax compliance, hands-on experience with systems like ADP, Workforce Now, or UKG, and a proven track record in end-to-end payroll processing. This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence in Eden Prairie, MN. Only local candidates in Minnesota will be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the payroll cycle, ensuring bi-weekly payroll for 1000 employees ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports and documentation for multiple states.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of payroll and benefits data and maintain compliance.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations, with a strong focus on multi-state tax compliance.
- Stay informed on industry trends and legal updates impacting payroll and benefits administration, particularly regarding multi-state tax laws.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, working with employees to ensure clear communication and resolution.
- Prepare and file payroll tax reports and documentation for multiple states.
- Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of payroll and benefits data and maintain compliance.
- Assist with the annual benefits open enrollment process, communicating updates and changes to employees.
Requirements:
- Expertise in multi-state payroll tax compliance and filings.
- Hands-on experience with ADP, Workforce Now, and/or UKG payroll systems.
- Strong background in managing a high-volume full cycle payroll process
