What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Classroom Teacher position at Addison Northwest School District?
Ferrisburgh Central School is seeking an elementary classroom teacher beginning in the 2025-26 school year. The position requires an ability to be flexible, make data informed decisions, and collaborate to meet the needs of students in a Kindergarten- 5th grade setting. KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF:
- Social emotional needs of students including implementation of PBIS and Responsive Classroom Strategies
- Developmental needs of students within a rigorous classroom setting
- Experience with a structured literacy (Orton Gillingham) approach and Bridges Math preferred, but not required
- Evidence based instructional approaches
- Multi-Tiered System of Supports and use of data to inform instruction
- Use of formative and summative assessments within a proficiency-based reporting system Collaboration within a team structure
- Experience working with early elementary students preferred, but not required
