Teen Services Assistant

Part-Time Position: approximately 17 hours a week

PT. 17 hrs./wk. One evening shift a week is required, and after-school hours are a priority.

Salary:

Salary: $21.81 - $27.26/hr. $27.26 is the midpoint. Internal equity is used in determining the rate of pay.

Position Details

The Addison Public Library seeks a customer-focused Teen Services Assistant to help connect patrons with resources that support their interests and information needs. In addition to providing an exceptional patron experience at the Teen Services desk, you will have the opportunity to provide programming support and assist with promotions and outreach. The library is across the street from a junior high school, making the Teen department a busy place after school.

• Previous experience working with teens preferred.

Qualifications:

• LTA or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Directly related experience and/or enrollment in higher education may be considered in place of the degree requirement.
• Two years of customer service experience is required.
• Previous experience working with teens.
• Working evening and weekend hours is required.
• Access to transportation is needed.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
