Purchasing Manager - Supply Chain Team

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide training and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback for team growth.
- Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot and enhance ERP system updates and functionality.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to align with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
- Forecast purchasing needs based on sales data, market trends, and production schedules.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Prepare monthly Purchasing reports.
- Monitor cost savings and inventory turnover while enhancing performance in these areas.
- Lead and manage internal and external purchasing audits.
- Select and evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships.
- Maintain strong supplier relationships to foster trust and reliability.
- Manage vendor categorization and scoring data.
- Track and manage all discrepant materials issues.
- Provide leadership, training, and performance reviews for the purchasing team.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment and address quality issues proactively.
- Create and submit Purchase Orders to maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Reconcile credit card charges in Ramp.
- Review sales orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Respond promptly to urgent purchasing requests and requests for information.
- Process complex requests for quotes and award purchasing contracts to the best vendor.
- Provide Addium company documentation to vendors to set up credit accounts and to establish our non-taxability as a reseller.
- Update NetSuite item records with safety stock level, preferred stock level, reorder point, approved vendors, part numbers, and prices.
- Update NetSuite vendor records, Google Drive, and Jira with documentation, licenses, and certifications.
- Work collaboratively with the Finance team to process prepayments, regular invoice payments, and to resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Ensure that the organization maintains efficient, cost-effective, and reliable procurement practices while fostering strong supplier relationships and lead a dynamic team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPP, CIPS) is a plus.
- 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, supplier management, contract negotiation, and cost reduction strategies.
- Ability to analyze market trends, supplier performance, and purchasing data to optimize procurement processes.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to drive cost savings without compromising quality.
- Experience with procurement and ERP systems (NetSuite) and strong Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations, contract laws, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to resolve supply chain disruptions, manage supplier issues, and ensure continuous product availability.
- Experience managing procurement budgets and optimizing purchasing decisions to improve financial performance.
