What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Controller position at Addon?
The Production Control Clerk is responsible for accurately entering data into the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) in a timely manner. Input and track man-hours for the team. Receives, picks-up, stores, inventories, and distributes materials required for the maintenance of equipment. Capable of moving, loading or unloading materials, and products; operating or tending equipment used to transfer material; operating forklifts and related material-handling machinery and equipment.
The successful candidate will conduct initial and long-range planning on matters which include multiple process production, maintenance operations, equipment readiness, including mechanical skills, availability of test and diagnostic equipment, repair parts, annual training requirements, mobilization requirements; and other factors influencing the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment and readiness reporting.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Duties require knowledge of the Global Combat Support System - Army (GCSS-Army).
- Works directly with the Production Control Lead and Maintenance Supervisor to open and close work orders.
- Maintains work order packets ensuring that all documents are present and completed properly.
- Perform research in GCSS-Army to retrieve and compile data for use in required data calls and briefings Responsible for a variety of administrative duties associated with the maintenance and supply of equipment for a maintenance activity of a US Army Reserve Command.
- Establish plans and schedules for maintenance and repair using multiple process production methods and procedures for a variety of vehicles and equipment such as combat vehicles, heavy-duty engineering, and mobile equipment.
- Makes on-the-spot adjustments to repair priorities on routine or reoccurring processes necessitated by unscheduled maintenance requirements.
- Ensures necessary maintenance records are maintained and required reports are submitted to units and higher authority in a timely manner.
- Coordinates with units and other support activities concerning the delivery, status of repair operations, and/or pick up of completed work orders.
- Authorizes the acceptance of equipment for repair; monitors work priorities, status, and completion of work orders and requisitions; and provides status of repair parts.
- Assist in the resolution of problems encountered between scheduled or unscheduled production or priority requirements.
- Analyze repair methods and develop control procedures and policies to assure accomplishment of programs to meet priorities and deadlines established by higher authority or support activities.
- Work with other sections within the organization to ensure equipment readiness reports are correct and submitted in time to meet contract requirements.
- Study directives, modification work orders, and regulations as to their application in the organization.
- Coordinate with logistical personnel, equipment specialists, higher ranked management officials, item managers concerning critical shortages of repair parts required to support the maintenance repair program.
- Provide status of equipment, maintenance actions in progress, and location of equipment.
- Input data regarding work order information, status changes, supply updates, and other pertinent information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
