RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of the Adelante Mujeres Leadership and Advocacy team, the Leadership Development Manager champions access to learning opportunities for Latine in Oregon to lead.
The Leadership Development Manager oversees educational programs within the Leadership and Advocacy department, including Civic Leaders and Environmental Justice, ensuring alignment with the department's leadership and advocacy goals. This role designs innovative classes and events, develops culturally specific program recruitment strategies, coaches staff, and drives leadership development initiatives at every level. The JT reports to the director of Leadership and Advocacy and will supervise one staff member.
- Strategic oversight and operational management of educational programs within the Leadership and Advocacy department including the creation, implementation, and evaluation.
- Supervise, coach, and support staff within the Leadership and Advocacy Department, ensuring they are well-equipped to design and facilitate high-quality classes, workshops, and experiential learning opportunities. Provide ongoing training and resources to help staff employ diverse methodologies, such as participatory learning, culturally responsive teaching, and popular education, while staying aligned with the organization's values.
- Create innovative and interactive learning experiences that incorporate popular education strategies and practical tools to empower diverse participants to lead effectively and advocate for change.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate closely with internal staff, community organizations, educational institutions, and advocacy groups to enhance program visibility and participation.
- Integrates leadership development into the Adelante Mujeres organizational culture by creating opportunities for all-staff to build leadership skills and fostering leadership at every level.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- A passionate commitment to the goals and mission of Adelante Mujeres and support for immigrant and BIPOC communities
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Leadership Studies, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in education, leadership development, or program management, preferably in a nonprofit or community-based setting.
- Demonstrated experience working with immigrant and underrepresented communities, with deep cultural competency and a commitment to inclusive practices.
- Strong background in curriculum design, adult learning principles, and the use of technology to enhance program delivery.
- 5 years of supervising experience, mentoring, and supporting staff in a collaborative and empowering environment.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency required.
- Experience in program evaluation, data analysis, and using insights to drive program improvement.

SALARY & BENEFITS:
- Salary range: $66K - $69K depending on qualifications
- Classification: Full-time salary position
- Telework: up to 2 days a week
