Job Summary
The Environmental Studies and Sciences program at Adelphi University invites applications for a part time faculty member beginning January 2025. We seek applicants who have completed, or are working toward, a Ph.D. in a STEM field focused on environmental or Earth sciences, with demonstrated teaching and research experience in ecological systems, climate change, marine science, or natural resource management.
Responsibilities
In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $1,798 per credit.

Job Summary
The Environmental Studies and Sciences program at Adelphi University invites applications for a part time faculty member beginning January 2025. We seek applicants who have completed, or are working toward, a Ph.D. in a STEM field focused on environmental or Earth sciences, with demonstrated teaching and research experience in ecological systems, climate change, marine science, or natural resource management.
Responsibilities
- The candidate will teach one or more sections of an introductory lecture course on natural sciences and environmental problems.
- The candidate may also teach future undergraduate or graduate courses in Marine Sciences or other areas of specific interest.
- Minimum of Master’s degree is required at the time of appointment.
- A Ph.D. and teaching experience in a STEM or related field is preferred.
