Position Description
Summary :
The concrete foreman effectively manages the daily onsite activities of the concrete pour placement and finishing process.
Primary Job Responsibilities :
Ensures field personnel follow daily pour activities as outlined by managementWorks to ensure that obstacles are overcome to enable the field personnel to effectively and efficiently place and finish the slabAble to read and understand blueprints and drawingCompletes daily reports, extra work tickets, safety forms and other documents as requiredWorks with the management team to create pour plans for each job including the required manpower, equipment, supplies etc.Works with other foremen to share manpower resources when needed between projectEnsures that employees follow established policies and procedureParticipates in the proper training of field employeeRepresents the company in a positive and professional manner including in the communityAdheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environmentOther duties as assignedPosition Requirements
Desired Qualifications / Skills :
High School Diploma / GED30 Hour OSHA CertificationGood communication skillLeadership seminars / training preferredThorough knowledge of construction procedures and safety plan and OSHA regulationTwo (2) years' prior leadership experience preferredPersonal initiative and ability to prioritize work independentlyThis position will require daily travel to jobsites with no need for permanent officeSuccessful candidate must be high energy and have the ability to develop strong relationships with project managers, other foreman, field personnel, and temporary agencieMust be capable of multi-tasking, problem solving and working in a fast-paced environmentMust maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to work in a team environment while portraying a positive attitude and maintaining confidentialityAdditional Notes :
