Role Overview: As our Buyer/Purchasing Coordinator, you play a crucial role in overseeing our procurement process from start to finish. Job Description:
- Coordinate procurement process from sourcing to delivery.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate positive relationships with vendors, evaluate their performance, and collaborate on mutually beneficial terms. Act as a liaison between our company and suppliers to facilitate smooth transactions and resolve any issues that arise.
- Oversee the timely processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Coordinate with vendors to confirm orders and track delivery schedules to meet operational needs.
- Assist in managing inventory levels, monitoring stock availability, and coordinating replenishment orders, as necessary.
- Conduct price analysis and comparison to ensure competitive pricing and optimal value for the company. Track pricing trends and market fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the procurement function. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and streamline procurement processes for increased efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions, vendor contracts, and pricing information. Generate reports and analyses as needed to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement, purchasing, or related roles.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions.
