AdeptAg, a leader in the horticultural industry is excited to announce an opening for a Quality Assurance Technician to support our team on-site in our Oberlin, Ohio location. The Quality Assurance Technician will be an integral part of the AdeptAg quality program by inspecting incoming materials and outbound finished products. This person will complete in-process inspections / audits of product being built. This person also will provide understanding and training of our Quality Program across the company. This role should understand basic functions of all departments within the company and collaborate with all stakeholders on process improvements.
Responsibilities :
- Perform quality tests on items throughout the production process from raw materials to intermediate stages to final product.
- Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
