We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Technician to join our dynamic team in Oberlin, OH. The Quality Technician will be an integral part of the AgriNomix Quality Program. The Quality Technician will work with existing quality policies and procedures, introduce new procedures and improvements, educate and train team members on quality and engineering principles, and collaborate with all stakeholders for process improvement.

Responsibilities:
- Perform quality checks on items throughout the production process from raw materials to intermediate stages to final product.
- Use inspection results to recommend changes to the production process as necessary to drive improved quality and efficiency
- Document quality ratings and results in proprietary database
- Initiate Quality Alerts based on internal or external quality findings
- Communicate directly with vendors to coordinate returns or replacements of non-conforming materials
- Promote Continuous Improvement – Research industry standards in relation to AgriNomix products and quality goals. Make suggestions that will further strengthen our internal Quality System
- Research and implement new inspection techniques based on our material and machines
- Ensure test/measurement equipment is calibrated and working properly
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales to ensure that quality control measures are implemented, followed, and issues are addressed promptly
- Create and/or modify company policies, procedures, work instructions, and flow charts
- Perform time studies utilizing AgriNomix developed template
- Maintains a safe, healthy, and positive work environment
- Assist with cross functional duties such as shipping and receiving, machine building, and material handling as needed
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities required)
• Minimum High School Diploma
• Diploma or Degree in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering Technology or other related fields are a plus
• Minimum 3-5 years of quality focused work experience
• Certification in Quality Control, Root Cause Analysis, Troubleshooting or similar are a plus
• Ability to use measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical information
• Ability to read and interpret machine component and assembly drawings
• Strong knowledge of Windows (Word and Excel) with the ability to learn Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, and Visio
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Training or demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and permanent corrective/preventative actions
• Advanced organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience in creating reports and collating data
• Strong mechanical skills
• Commitment to continuous learning including staying up to date with new technologies and industry best practices
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
