Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
As part of the NAM Market Finance organization, this position will oversee Inbound & Outbound freight throughout the NAM market. Act as a business partner across the NAM Supply Chain team regarding all freight topics. This position will be charged with streamlining financial operations to drive transparency, improvement, & strategy around inbound and outbound freight topics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tracking purchase orders of all Inbound/Outbound freight that deviate outside normal business practices.
- Forecast monthly for the full year results on all freight related topics.
- Manage month-end and year-end accruals.
- Ad-hoc analysis and presentations to core business partners
- Work with and support Non-Trade Procurement (NTP) on carrier negotiations & modeling.
- Drive cost transparency and identify trends, to inform fact-based decisions throughout supply chain.
- Focus on continuous improvement initiatives, within finance related to standardized reporting and analytics, and within the business.
- Partner with the SCM finance leadership to develop and implement standardized, action-oriented communication of financial results to business stakeholders.
- Support project work and strategic initiatives as needed.
- Drive Freight Audit Tool & SAP Master data Governance

- NAM SCM and Market finance teams based in Portland, Oregon

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical skills, including experience in cost controlling and optimization.
- Ability to develop and manage financial plans, assess risks and opportunities, and create strategies to mitigate.
- Proven competence in managing large sets of data from various sources, to combine efficiently and enable quick analysis and decision making.
- Demonstrated collaboration skills across finance and business stakeholders.
- Ability to balance high attention to detail and accuracy against the need for navigating ambiguity in future planning.
- Robust verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems, coupled with advanced excel skills, to support complex analysis.
- Business acumen in areas of Transportation, DC operations, market trend analysis, productivity and cost management a plus
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in Finance or Accounting preferred; degrees in Business Administration, Data and Analytics, Operations Management, or related certifications also acceptable
- 5-7 years' experience working in Finance related roles
- Full understanding of a P&L
- System expertise: excellent MS office skills (especially Excel), fundamental SAP (FI/CO), Power BI
