Our dance studio is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations, manage dance teachers, and take full ownership of customer relations, marketing, and studio logistics. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys wearing many hats, from managing administrative tasks to fostering a positive experience for students and families.
Working Structure:
Full time position
Trial period of 3 months to assess mutual fit
In studio & remote hours
Remote working hours are flexible based on the needs of the business and may fluctuate from day to day. Some business “seasons” may require more or less weekly hours than others.
Studio hours will be as follows:
- Monday: 3-8:15 in studio
- Tuesday: 3-7:15 in studio
- Wednesday: 3-8:15 in studio
- Thursday: 3-7:15 in studio
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations:
- Arrives to open studio at 3pm & greets parents and students, manages the lobby, and ensures studio cleanliness (including bathrooms, office, and common areas).
- Respond to phone calls, texts, and emails, including using templated responses and escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Accept payments, assist with inventory orders, and maintain accurate inventory documentation.
- Close the studio securely at the end of the day.
Staff Management:
- Supervise and hold all dance teachers accountable to studio expectations, including preparation, attendance, and professionalism.
- Provide mentorship, conduct regular check-ins, and ensure alignment with studio values and goals.
Operational Management:
- Oversee payroll, class scheduling, attendance tracking, tuition processing, & inventory purchases in JackRabbit software.
- Plan and execute marketing initiatives, including social media content creation and email campaigns and manage the studio website.
- Handle vendor contracts, insurance, and ordering of supplies and inventory.
Event Management:
- Plan and oversee competitions and recitals, including logistics, registration, costume management, programs, and backstage coordination.
- Manage all event-related communication and ensure a smooth experience for participants and families.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in operations, customer service, and event planning.
- Proficiency in tools like JackRabbit, QuickBooks, and marketing platforms.
- Ability to foster a positive team culture while holding staff accountable.
