Job Posting: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
Location: Towson, MD
Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, the Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) will be responsible for the care, handling, and storage of surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgery. This role also includes processing goods for redistribution throughout the Medical Center. The SPT will assist Sterile Processing Specialists with various team lead duties, such as maintaining competencies and ensuring the overall efficiency of the sterile processing department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Care for, handle, and store surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist with the processing of goods for redistribution throughout the Medical Center.
- Support Sterile Processing Specialists in various team lead responsibilities, including maintaining competencies and ensuring quality standards.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment.
Requirements:
- 2 years of recent SPT experience – Required.
- Must hold certification for at least 2 years – Required.
- COVID-19 vaccine (declinations not accepted).
- SPT Certification – Must be active at the time of submission.
- BLS Certification (AHA) – Required.
Additional License Requirements:
- Must be certified in Sterile Processing.

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
