JOB DESCRIPTIONSummaryOpportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join Adient's automotive metal seat frame welding plant in Battle Creek, MI. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, planned, and emergency maintenance in a production environment. The shift hours for this second shift role are 1 : 45pm-9 : 45pm.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for fixing equipment as needed, changeovers, PMs and troubleshooting of equipment. Must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting.Ability and willingness to diagnose and repair the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aspects of a wide variety of machines.Working knowledge of PLC's.Perform quality checks.Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.Education / Experience / Skills High School Education or Equivalent (GED).Journeyman Card from the Department of Labor preferred.QualificationsJourneyman Card from the Department of Labor preferred. Degree or certification from a college or university is required if you do not possess a Journeyman's card.Previous experience working as a Millwright, Electrician or Machine repair in an automotive manufacturing environment.Experience working in an automotive sheet metal stamping facility.Experience with large transfer and progressive dies a plus.Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework.Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc.Ability to solve problems and work with support personnel.Able to work on 2nd shift (Mon - Fri, 1 : 45pm - 9 : 45pm).PRIMARY LOCATIONBattle Creek Seating Component
