What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Manager position at Adirondack Health?
Position Summary:
- Responsible for assisting Department Director in overseeing the operations of the Supply Chain Department related to purchasing, receiving, inventory control, forms management, mailroom, courier service and printing. Ensures efficient and cost-effective acquisition, utilization, distribution, and maintenance of equipment and supplies used throughout the institution.
Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:
Minimum of an associate's degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis on Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain or a related field. Experience may be accepted in lieu of college degree.
5 years in hospital materials management preferred. Previous managerial experience preferred but may consider promotable candidate. A thorough knowledge of warehousing, inventory control and modern hospital related material handling system is required.
