SUMMARY: Performs reception, data entry, clerical, and administrative duties for Amsure’s Albany office. A successful candidate must have strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and computer skills. Applicants must be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of the position and uphold all customer confidentiality. Punctuality and an affable demeanor are essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as the front desk receptionist in the Albany office of Amsure.
Receive, scan, index, and process incoming mail and faxes.
Manage daily downloads from Insurance Carrier websites. Manage and distribute daily reports.
Manage inventory of office supplies (paper, pens, etc.) for the office through Vendors, the Marketing department as well as online ordering with Staples.
Work with Employee Benefits division to maintain and update Agency Management System for life, health, and disability insurance renewals.
Assemble data and other information for proposals, charts, summaries, and related papers as directed by insurance employees.
Retrieve reports and other insurance documents which are confidential in nature.
The employee will be a department resource for other administrative tasks.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position has responsibilities for upholding professionalism and confidentiality. It is of the utmost importance that candidates maintain confidentiality and perform their duties in the most professional manner possible. It is necessary to have proven communications skills, and be able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines in order to succeed in this position.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or GED is required, two-year degree preferred. Basic knowledge of the banking/insurance industry with previous administration experience preferred.
Must be proficient in all Microsoft products and Outlook Email. Strong interpersonal relationship skills and the demonstration of effective listening and communication abilities are highly recommended.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and communicate with customers and their needs. Ability to effectively interact and respond to coworkers and superiors with regard to daily questions and concerns.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with ease. Ability to make and support sound decisions by logical means.
