We are searching for a Human Resource Coordinator to help facilitate the human resource function for the North American region of Adisseo. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and will act as a key contributor to the success of our business. While the primary responsibilities will be administrative in nature, the Human Resources Coordinator should have the ability to not only support, but actively contribute to the existing culture of collaboration, transparency, and high-performance.

We are searching for a Human Resource Coordinator to help facilitate the human resource function for the North American region of Adisseo. This position reports to the Human Resources Manager and will act as a key contributor to the success of our business. While the primary responsibilities will be administrative in nature, the Human Resources Coordinator should have the ability to not only support, but actively contribute to the existing culture of collaboration, transparency, and high-performance.
Responsibilities
Benefit coordination and administration
- Manage the administration of benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and reconciling/processing invoices
- Ensure legal compliance and initiate corrective actions
- Act as liaison between vendors and employees—troubleshoot problems
- Manage and track paid time off benefits for all employees, including year-end accruals
- Act as a resource to terminated employees regarding severance and benefits
- Coordinate severance and benefits accruals and payments
- Administer payroll (set-up, employee maintenance, corrections, reconciliation, documentation, etc.) for salaried personnel
- Provide backup to the Hampshire, IL facility HR Coordinator for hourly payroll
- Manage state and local taxing, including registrations, rate updates, and verifying accuracy of filings
- Ensure legal compliance and initiate corrective actions
- Coordination and correction of year-end tax statements
- Monitor and audit vendor invoices
- Act as conduit and liaison between employees and management
- Assist with annual Performance & Development Review campaign
- Helps maintain HRIS records for regional personnel
- Assist with administration of incentive programs, tracking and maintaining goals/targets, calculating and documenting payouts
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
- Coordinate completion, update and filing of position descriptions
- Assist with hiring, orientation, and onboarding, and providing support for recruitment activities as needed
- Assist Finance team with audits, accruals, and reports involving payroll and benefits
- Manage/Coordinate cards, flowers, gifts, and memorial contributions
- Maintain petty cash
- Maintain all human resources files, digital and physical
- Plan and assist with internal company events
- Minimum BS or BA degree in a related field, or equivalent education or experience required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll and benefits administration required
- Current HR certification required
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll platform required
- Experience with Canadian payroll and benefits administration a plus
- Strong ability to read people and situations well, and adapt easily to complicated circumstances
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to craft effective communications
- Excellent prioritization, organizational, administrative and computer skills as well as being resourceful in problem-solving
- Proficient with Microsoft applications, especially Excel
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and accurately complete work duties timely
