Position Summary/Job Description:
- The Associate Manager, Architecture defines and communicates project specific scope by translating floor plan standards and prototype building criteria into project documents on a store-by-store basis.
- The Associate Manager, Architecture then uses these documents to communicate with landlords and local AHJs culminating with the securing of any necessary permits and partner teams being able to seamlessly bid, deploy and close out all site specific BBY store physical project work.
- Supported project types include store remodels.
- This individual is responsible for maintaining select business categories and updating as appropriate store prototype layouts and support documentation/standards relating to architectural/MEP/structural documentation and specifications.
- This role is also tasked with maintaining as-built documents and asset tracking for BBY’s portfolio of locations.
- This individual will need to possess a strong foundation in architectural and project development that facilitates and supports efficient and effective business change across real estate portfolio.
- This role collaborates across multiple stakeholders translating design directives and merchant strategy into prototype and then site-specific solutions that provide the best value for the overall remodel project.
What are the top skills and number of years of experience required to perform this job?
- 3 years of experience in design, architecture and engineering of deploying design elements/material across multiple cross functional groups in Retail.
- 3 years of retail experience, working with cross functional teams and delivering solutions to improve /fuel overall customer experience, customer retention and customer growth.
What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?
- 3 years of experience in reading and reviewing construction documents for permit submittal and GC bidding
- AutoCAD software preferred not necessary
- Microsoft Office and Blu Beam
