Senior Electrical Engineer

Payrate: $ 90.00 - $ 100.00 /hr.

Summary:

The main function of an electrical engineer is to design, develop, test or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. A typical electrical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise the design, development, and testing of the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
• Review and approve the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models.
• Discuss estimates for time and cost to complete projects with clients.
• Supervise the simulation and testing of machine/structure/system operation and monitor product quality.
• Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required
• Minimum 10 Years of Experience

Must-Have Skills:

• Experience with Power Electronics: Familiarity with power electronic devices, such as power supplies, motor drives, and power conversion systems, is necessary for designing and developing efficient and reliable electrical systems.
• Knowledge of Programming Languages: Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, or MATLAB can be useful for developing simulations and testing
• electrical systems.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Software: Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit can be beneficial for creating
• detailed designs and models.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Ability: The ability to analyze complex electrical systems, identify problems, and develop effective solutions is crucial for an electrical engineer.
• Advanced Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of electrical theory, circuit analysis, and electronics is essential for designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment and systems.
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Electrical engineers must be able to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and to specification.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Pay Transparency:

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $ 90.00 - $ 100.00 /hr. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience and the benefits package you select. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
