Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking a motivated and committed Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join the manufacturing operations in Port Huron, Michigan.
The ideal candidate will have strong personal leadership, vision, organizational and communication abilities, technical and HR background in manufacturing. This is a hands-on, involved role for someone looking for an opportunity to make a tangible impact in the manufacturing operations and people function of a parts manufacturing plant.
The HR Generalist administers and supports all activities of the Employee Life Cycle; Recruiting, onboarding & assisting with Employee development. Also assists with day to day activities including benefits, investigations and employee counseling.
The following are the major duties and responsibilities:
- Assist in the interview and hiring process including resume review, screening, and interview scheduling and checking references.
- Responsible for enhancement and implementation of robust orientation processes
- Assists with managing HRIS for assigned locations and create and manage active and inactive personnel files within the guidance of employment law and best practices.
- Responsible for payroll documentation to Corporate Payroll Specialist and employee attendance for Plant #5
- Helping to drive improvement in site specific KPI’s
- Coordinates recognition and employee engagement programs.
- Manager FMLA/Leave of Absences
- May administer workers compensation claims and serve as liaison to Worker’s Compensation insurance administration.

Experience
